The Museum of Modern Art of Ios is located in Mylopotas and has been housed since 1993 in the mansion of the former French director of French radio and television, Jean Marie Drot, while in Tsoukalaria there has been an open-air theater since 1997, with a capacity of 1,000 seats, named after the Nobel Prize-winning poet Odysseas Elytis.
